HELLO! It’s been a while since I introduced myself! For those who haven’t met me yet, I’m Stacey and I help you have your cake your way no matter what 🙌🏻

Today I want to share a few of my proudest moments since I started this biz.

Things from starting weddings, saying no to things, being published and becoming a wholesale stockist to where we are now 🙌🏻✨

I’m so excited to be on this journey guys!! What a ride 🎢

The happy couple pretended to cut the cake. I, however, got stuck in for real 🍰 And yes, I of course will always cut the cake if you want me to.

Sam + Sam threw an amazing celebration last night for their UK wedding celebration with a dessert table of dreams. They went for:
 🍰Victoria sponge cake 🧁 Chocolate orange + lemon blueberry cupcakes 🍫 Chocolate chunk, s’mores + mini egg brownies 🍋 Lemon, white choc raspberry + bakewell blondies

And get this — the entire lot was gluten free. No one questioned it, guests were too busy getting stuck in to ask questions.
 Proof gluten-free doesn’t mean joy-free 🙌🏻✨

On Saturday I set up at the most beautiful venue @cheniesmanorweddingsandevents for Beth and Ben 💒

They went for a 3 tier decorated with Olive and Lavender and sent me such a lovely email on Monday 💕

🚨 CAKE CRISIS? 🚨

Like everyone else, I woke up to the new of the chaos this morning about the M&S cyber attacks, meaning that wedding cakes were suddenly off the table…

If you’re one of the couples affected, I’m so sorry this is the last thing anyone need before their wedding, so that being said, If I can help, I will ❤️

I’m opening up a few limited slots for last-minute semi-naked wedding cakes, handmade by me with the same care and quality I give to all my couples.

This is an offering with limited space due to my availability, and as a much smaller and independent business compared to M&S, I can’t match their prices, but I can try and offer something more budget friendly - these are not the same size as any cake I usually offer which is why they’ll be cheaper to the people who have been let down and therefore the prices can’t be compared to anything I usually offer.

The cakes would be collection only and subject to avaliabilty

A 6 + 8 inch 2 tier cake with 2 layers per tier = £115

Whilst I know it costs more than M&S, I can promise you won’t be let down on your big day, it’ll be made by hand with attention to detail. So if you need a beautiful, delicious cake and a bit of calm in the chaos—drop me a message. I’ll help however I can 🤍

Why does a “wedding cake” cost more?

Let me explain before you serve Colin the Caterpillar at your reception. 🐛🎂

➡️ You could ask me for a 2-tier cake for a birthday. You could ask me for the SAME CAKE for a wedding.
➡️ The price? It’s based on the TIME it takes to make it, not the title you give it.
➡️ It doesn’t matter to me if you’re celebrating a birthday, wedding, divorce, new nose job, or just throwing the cake off a balcony for ✨reasons✨ (we’ve all been there, right)

If it’s the same amount of time, it’s the same cost 🧁

➡️ That’s why it costs more. TIME = MONEY.

💬 Moral of the story:
Order whatever you want, call it whatever you want, but the cost is the cost ✌🏻

I made my own wedding cake. Because I’m a baker - is what I tell people 👀 
When the reality is that I’m a massive a control freak. And because I didn’t trust anyone else not to mess it up / wanna spend my day going well I wouldn’t of done it like that but whatever … 🫠

Anyway, It was stunning. Dreamy. Beyond obsessed.
 It got cut for the photo. And then? Nothing. Not a bite. Not a crumb. 🫠

Meanwhile, the dessert table? A full-on sugar stampede.😂❤️

Cookies? Gone. Brownies? Obliterated. Blondies? Like they didn’t exist 😍
 My cake? Still standing. Just sitting there. Gorgeous. Unbothered. Unbitten.
Basically a very expensive centrepiece. Just me and my uneaten legacy 😩

We left it for the venue staff in the end, best shift they’ve ever worked I reckon 🕺🪩 
But it’s got me thinking…
 Is the wedding cake officially dead? Has the dessert table taken over? 🍰🍫🍬🍪

Do you do ‘free from’… safely? 🧐

It’s allergy awareness week so the perfect time to get into this.

We DO make gluten free bakes, but we don’t take it lightly.
Gluten free for example, isn’t just a trend or a buzzword for us. It’s a serious commitment to both quality and safety. That’s why we’ve got:

✔️ A dedicated oven for gluten-free bakes
✔️ Separate utensils and workspaces to prevent any cross-contamination
✔️ And a whole lot of obsessive cleaning between batches to keep everything 100% safe

But here’s the thing, just because a product says it’s gluten-free doesn’t mean it’s actually safe.

We’ve all seen the ‘free from’ label on Instagram, but unless a bakery is going above and beyond to make sure they have zero risk of contamination, that label could be meaningless - whether they are a registered baker or not

Before you buy:
✅ Check full ingredients - is it as free from allergens as they say?
✅ Ask questions! Don’t feel shy. Your health is worth it!
✅ Know the bakery! Can they actually guarantee what they’re selling?

And a word of warning: especially when shopping online, those rules get murky.

Distance selling doesn’t always follow the same strict guidelines as buying in-store, so it’s up to you to know what you’re putting in your belly.

At TMB, we’re all about doing things properly. No shortcuts, no cutting corners. When we say a cake is gluten-free, we mean it — because your health is far more important than anything else!

So when you see that “free from” label — ask yourself: Do they actually do it safely?

Stay safe, stay informed, and always know exactly what’s in your cake. 🍰

When I quoted my client for a custom cake, her jaw dropped! 💀

”You charge HOW much for a cake?!’”😳 - she looked at me like I’d asked her to give me her first born child

Me: pulls out the receipts like a lawyer in court

Ingredients, time, custom design … it all adds up

Let’s normalise pricing for skill, not just ingredients. 💅🎂

Knowing your worth isn’t rude. Explaining it isn’t begging.

Make sure you explain your value, don’t downplay it 👏

To my fellow cake artists: don’t shrink to fit a budget you can’t survive on ❤️

And if you have someone who says “Well what can I get for £30?”

…you can get a cupcake 🧁✨

I know you’re not meant to have favourites but I don’t think anything is ever gonna top this 😍

“They Say They Do Gluten Free…” Cross-contamination isn’t just a myth. It’s real. And it’s how you end up with a bloated wedding party and an angry group chat.

“They’re Not Registered or Insured” If your cake maker vanishes after the cake collapses, and they’re not insured — you’re not getting your money or your day back.

“They Say ‘Trust Me’… with No Hygiene Proof” I trust my dog. Doesn’t mean I want him making a three-tier.

“The Cake Looked Pretty… But Was It ALIVE?” True story: it was mouldy before they cut it. And no, that wasn’t a pistachio filling.

“They Do EVERYTHING” Pick someone who bakes cakes like it’s their religion. Not someone who also makes resin coasters and hamsters in hats.

“They’re Suspiciously Cheap” There’s a difference between affordable and “why does this taste like despair?” You get what you pay for.
 Your cake deserves better. Vet your baker. Ask questions. Check hygiene ratings. (Or just hire me — I like cake that doesn’t rot on the inside.)

When Kate messaged me and asked if we could use part of their wedding cake to create something new for their baby boy it was such a special thing to be asked

To be able to be asked and to create something so important was such a privilege, meaning they could have exactly what they wanted along with the cake being gluten free and not having to compromise on anything they wanted
