FAQ's
These are the most common questions we get asked at The Mad Batter. Any other questions come say Hello on the Contact Us page or check out our Terms and Conditions
I've ordered something to be posted by you. How does that work?

Firstly thank you! Anything you order from us will be sent to you via Royal mail first class. This means your order should be with you the next day after posting, but sometimes it can take up to 2 days. Postal orders are usually sent on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you need your order for a specific date please state that in your order. If you order after Sunday 12pm your order will be sent the following week.

I've got a dietary requirement or food allergy/intolerance can you help me?

We can accommodate for nearly all dietary requirements so please get in touch and let us know what you require.
However please be aware that all products made by The Mad Batter are created in a kitchen that handles various allergens, therefore your order cannot be guaranteed to be free from traces of the following; eggs, milk, wheat flour containing gluten, soya, food colourings, various nuts and peanuts.
The Mad Batter also uses toppings and ingredients that aren’t made in our kitchen and their packaging states that they are made in an environment that also may not be free from traces of certain ingredients that may affect dietary requirements.
Because of this we advise that you ask for a full ingredients list or any other information you may require before you place an order if you have an allergy, intolerance, dietary need or any other requirements. A full breakdown of ingredients will be included in your order.

How long will my cakes stay fresh for?

We recommend your cakes are eaten on the day, however if you need to collect your order the day before an event or in the unlikely event that you have cakes left over they’ll stay fresh for up to 3 days in their boxes or an airtight container. All cakes will be packaged for collection in a box. Cakes will need to be stored in their boxes in a cool area until you’re ready to eat them and so that all of the toppers and decorations stay in place.

How long before an event should I order my cake?

As soon as possible! The earlier in advance you book the more likely it is that we will be able to fit you and your order in.

Is there a minimum order?

Cupcakes can be ordered in boxes of 12. Brownies or Blondies can be ordered in boxes of 9 to be collected, online they're a minimum of one slab per order.

Can I order a mixed flavour box of baked goods from you?

Currently we don't offer more than one flavour of product per box because of the time it would then take to organise the orders. We would also have to charge a lot more and reduce the amount of orders we could take on.
